Betta fish epsom salt treatment?

my betta has SBD and i was told to use 2 teaspoons epsom salt per gallon. but i wanted to know if i should still use the water conditioner, or use bottled water for the epsom salt treatment. like, will the epsom salt interact with the conditioner or anything? i'm probably being paranoid but i just want to be safe. thanks!
