How to take care of my (maybe infected) nose ring?

Okay I got my nose pierced about a month ago. My friend got hers pierced a week before I got mine done and when she changed her nose ring her hole was so big that no regular sized nose ring would fit into her hole they all went straight through and kept falling out. So when I got mine pierced which was with a regular piercing earring and a gun (which I have heard was not good for the nose) I took mine out the third day and put in a nose ring stud. It keeps getting knocked out when I am sleep and when I shower or wash my face (because I keep forgetting about it). So I took it out this morning and it has been out for almost 24 hours now I know the hole isn't closed and I can push it back through that's no problem. My problem is that I have a bump on the top of my nose which looks like a pimple but the ring goes through it and it is bleeding and has pus coming out of it. I have a HUGE bump on the inside of my nose that is so big the ring hardly comes out the bottom of it. That one doesn't hurt it just leaks some kind of clear fluid. I want to keep my piercing so what can I do to take care of it once I put my ring back in (which will be in the morning)? I have some Epsom Salt but don't know exactly what to do to use it on my nose. How long will it take to heal completely? And am I supposed to keep twisting it like I do an earring piercing? I need all the tips and tricks I can get because I love the look but now it is just ugly:(
