How long does it usually take for hoof Abcess to burst?

I have been soaking with Epsom salts and making a poultice and wrapping with nappy and duct tape but nothing. Farrier thinks it's in the hoof cuz he couldn't find it with hoof testers. She's very sore!!! Been over a week
