Child support & Alimony?

My boyfriend and I recently broke up and Im about to give birth next week and we both are in Grad school. I will have to stop my studies temporarily because of the baby and my mother and I are the ones who ran with all the expenses and my mother is already struggling. He is in one of the most expensive law schools in the country and Im scared that he uses his connections to ran out of this one without any responsibility, non of us we work since we are full time students but he is pretty wealthy. What should I do!
