My parents won't help me with car insurance... what should I do?

They are not doing anything out of the norm. They are expecting you to "man" up and take responsibility for your debts now that you are grown. You have to understand, they are thinking about their retirement. Your ability to work and pay your debts is coming into it's own; you'll start making more and more money and if you can't afford it, maybe you shouldn't have a car. You need to learn to budget, which I am sure they would love to help you do. In the meantime, they are getting older and don't want to be a burden on their kids later in life so they have to conserve funds.. You need to wake up and realize what life is really like. It's not easy, paying bills and being responsible. They have to consider the fact of their golden years and don't want to eat alpo. So buck up up and pay your debt so your parents can have a safe retirement. Good luck.
