What codec do I need?

Ok, so I am trying to install a video from my phone to windows movie maker. But every time I try to put it on windows movie maker, it says I don't have the right codec. I have tried closing it and reopening it, and I have also already downloaded 2 codecs and yet they still fail to work. All I want is to be able to put the video on to windows movie maker. My phone is a pantech jest, and I don't know what codec i need.
